Civil War Encampment
    The members of the 21st participate in public discussions and demonstrations of living history, military drills and marching, musket firing, and other related public portrayals of historically accurate Civil War era military and civilian lifestyles, period clothing, and activities.

St. Claire Voyageurs
Les Coureurs de Bois et Voyageurs de Ste. Claire
   The voyageur group meets on the third Tuesday of each month
at 7:00 p.m. in the Metro Beach Nature Center. The purpose of this group is to learn about, teach, and experience the rich history of the French and Indian Fur Trade Era.
   Also, they portray the people of the Great Lakes Region known as the Coureurs de Bois (Lovers of the Woods) and Voyageurs. They learn and teach by exchanging information, dressing, canoeing, camping, cooking, and craft working in the same
manner of these early pioneers.

Colonial Re-enactors.
French Colonial Troops known as "The Marines".  The Marines were found throughout the Colony of Canada, including the post of Fort Pontchartrain du Detroit.  These Marines were the perminate garrison troops of Detroit from its founding by Antoine de la Cadillac in 1701, until the capitulation of Montreal to the British in 1760.
